Bangladesh is well ahead of Surrey | Bangladesh 372/6, Surrey 317/7 (Dec)

Bangladesh is now well ahead of Surrey as New comer Jahurul played an extraordinary innings of 159 run while little master Ashraful played an innings of 89 run. When it comes to their respective heights, about a foot or so separates Bangladeshi batsmen Mohammad Ashraful and Jahurul Islam, yet in terms of Test experience the two stylish right-handers remain poles apart.

The diminutive Ashraful, the Tigers' Test captain until last year, is his nation's most capped player with 53 Test appearances to his name, while the taller, willowy Jahurul, only made his Test bow in March, scoring 0 and 43 in the nine-wicket defeat by England at Mirpur. read details in ICC World Cricket

South Africa is almost out of the tournament | Pakistan beat South Africa by 11 runs

South Africa was one of the top favorite team to achieve the trophy of ICC World T20. But they are almost out of the tournament now. South Africa were knocked out of the World Twenty20 by living up to their reputation of coming up short in crunch matches with an inexplicably limp batting display after a Charl Langeveldt masterclass in end-innings bowling had kept Pakistan to a gettable total. The bedrock of the defending champions' first victory in the Super Eights were Saeed Ajmal's doosras and a sparkling Umar Akmal cameo, but Pakistan will also thank the redoubtable South African top-order for idling early in the chase. read details on ICC World Cricket

West Indies vs Ireland match analysis | ICC World T20

West Indies beat giant killer Ireland comfortably by 70 runs. Winning the toss West Indian starts the proceedings very consciously and scored only 138 from their twenty over. It looked like a chase-able score for Irish players. But West Indian bowlers just kicked away the hopes of getting anything for Ireland. Ireland becomes all out on just 68 runs. The captain Gayle didn't play due to a problem with his glutes, leaving Dwayne Bravo in charge, and there were thoughts of an upset when West Indies scrapped to 138 for 9 on a sluggish surface. There was a party atmosphere in the stands of the Providence stadium, but life was much more serious on the ground for the home batsmen, particularly when the 17-year-old George Dockrell was operating. read details on Dhaka News.
