Blasts hit the capital of Iraq's Kurdish region

DHAKA: Explosions hit the capital of Iraq's autonomous Kurdish region on Sunday, a correspondent of the international media reports, a rare occurrence in a region where rule spared violence plaguing the rest of the country.

The journalist is one of three explosions in Arbil.

Heavy smoke in the air, and a number of ambulances driving to the scene reported the Straits Times.
